What is a patellar knee brace and what is it used for?

A patellar knee brace is placed on the knee and its function is to relieve the physical strains exerted on the kneecap. In other words, it protects the injured kneecap, but it can also be useful in prevention or during rehabilitation of the kneecap. This type of knee brace greatly limits knee movements during movements in order to reduce as much as possible the pressures exerted on the kneecap and protects against any patellar pathology.
